Our Diversion

The saga continues.....

With the help of the Hussars of Neualtenberg, Cousin Gabrielle and I will be able to slip unnoticed into the BardHaven Estate to release the Kaiserin. Having secured the cooperation of Baron BardHaven through some rather intense negotiation, I do not anticipate any difficulties in securing her freedom as long as the Hussars perform their duty. (More to follow.)

*sighs* I had hoped it would not come to war, but alas, it has. While I feel that the plot to kidnap the Kaiserine was fiendish, and I sympathize with her and the Duchesses, nevertheless, Caledon must be defended! Alas, I wish I was able to return inworld again!

Of course Caledon must defend itself! My hope is that by using what power Gabriele and I have for securing her release, the Kaiserin may return to her people to tell the story - the true story. Caledon and Desmond Shang were victims in this plot, too.

so.. you allowed Hussars into Caledonian air space, your grace? Do I read that aright? Caledonian blood was shed for expediency's sake?

Oh Mr O'Toole....how much Caledonian blood was spilt the night of the Reconciliation Day Ball? You set these wheels in motion.
Once Cousin Gabrielle and I learned that Kendra was getting messages out of BardHaven's estate, we knew that the Hussars would not be far behind. We used this information for the greater good. A small strike by the Hussars now, to assist in securing the Kaiserin's return to her throne....hopefully preventing a larger conflict. Indeed preventing all out war.
I seem to sense some remorse in your tone here...and in some communication captured by my MI 5 wireless transmission interception device. Anything you wish to discuss with me?

Your Grace, I have an offer to make that might be in the interests of all Caledon. I await your reply.

Mr O'Toole -
Await my messenger, who will bring you the information on a meeting time and place. You have my attention. We will talk.

((As a book lover, the thing that mosts stands out to me in all of this, I say again, is the brilliant writing! The stuff here, at Bardhaven's journal, on Hotspur's...what a gifted bunch of textual role players Caledon has!

Best.

Sir Tele))
