A New Twist For Carmina

Those of you who know me well (and likely many who don't know me so well) know of my love of Carmina Burana, which was detailed in this blog in April. Last night at the Court of Carntaigh's Investiture Ball, which will be described in the near future, The Duchess Carntaigh played Orff's masterpiece, O Fortuna for the Court's dance. It was stunningly beautiful as always.

Edward Pearse, Earl Primbroke, passed this very funny kinetoscope in my direction as we danced. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do.

Thank you Lord Primbroke! I laugh every single time I watch it!

I love O Fortuna, and enjoy it every time that I hear it. It is the staple of the choral world.

Choral music is one thing I certainly know a lot about and perhaps we'll chat about it in-world someday. Right now I'm loving the Misa Criolla, Part's Te Deum, and Poulenc's Stabat Mater.

Miss Laval-
I would very much enjoy discussing choral music with you. My human has been fortunate enough to sing throughout the country under the direction of many accomplished conductors and composers.

The Poulenc Stabat Mater is one of my favorite pieces as well. I shall now need to search for the others that you have mentioned.

I look forward to taking tea with you and having a chat.
